Multiplexed Error Robust Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization, or MERFISH, pioneered in Dr. Xiaowei Zhuang's lab, enables readout of up to 1,000 mRNA transcripts in either tissue or cell lines. While this method is targeted and requires choosing a gene panel ahead of time, the sensitivity and resolution are higher, reaching the single molecule level. We operate various instruments developed by Vizgen, Inc, and have experience with both human and mouse tissues.
