Ghamdan Al-Eryani
Ghamdan (Gammy) Al-Eryani is a Cancer Research Institute (CRI) Irvington postdoctoral fellow in the Methods Development Lab and Hacohen lab. He completed his graduate work in Australia, where he used single-cell and spatial omics to ecotype the first released breast cancer atlas, and developed the first application of high-throughput cellular long-read sequencing. His current work focuses on advancing full-length atlasing of breast cancers and developing live-slice explant systems that enable longitudinal, spatially resolved profiling of perturbation-induced changes in the tumour microenvironment.
Beyond the lab’s walls, Gammy often performs the illusion of a life, which mostly amounts to some exercise and healthy cooking to make sure he’s productive the next day at work.
