Jordi Merino

Dr. Merino leads the genomics and precision medicine research group. The group focuses on understanding the molecular heterogeneity that characterizes diabetes and how differences in fundamental molecular processes lead to variable clinical presentation, response to therapeutic interventions, and propensity for developing complications. Toward this goal, the group leverages genomics approaches coupled with deep phenotypic data in observational studies and large-scale clinical interventions to advance precision diabetes medicine.
