Currently, as a wet-lab postdoc at the University of Copenhagen and an affiliated researcher at the Broad Institute, my research is focused on examining Variant to Function in adipose tissue utilizing cell cultures, gene perturbations, long-read sequencing, and microscopy.  My work stems from GWAS looking into BMI, adipose distribution, and insulin resistance. In the lab, I focus on siRNA, CRISPR over- and under-expressions, and Nanopore. Some of our side projects involve epigenetics and DNA methylation, diabetic pigs, the effect of diet on sperm health, and examinations of the functional roles of adipose. I’m also working on starting some 3D adipose cultures and finishing up our lentiMPRA experiments.

Feel free to reach out if you would like to collaborate or just have any questions! I work with a lot of in-vitro adipose cultures, gene perturbations, animal models, DNA methylation and epigenetics, Nanopore sequencing, and Variant to Function V2F research.
