As an undergraduate student, I trained in behavioral neuroscience, cancer biology and molecular genomics research.  I graduated with a B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, after which I joined the Lander Lab / Donnard Group at the Broad Institute. In collaboration with the NNFC and HGRM, we have worked on characterizing the metabolic and genomic profile of hepatic-like-cells (HLCs) differentiated from villages of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs). Our aim is to develop a reliable, stimulable and flexible proxy for primary hepatocytes.
