Estefania Reyes Bricio, B.A.

Estefania Reyes Bricio, BA completed a Neuroscience degree at Mount Holyoke College in 2015. She has pursued multiple internships at top universities in her home country of Mexico, focusing on neurodegenerative diseases and sugar addiction. After college, she joined the vivarium staff at AstraZeneca and later Takeda Pharmaceuticals where she received an RALAT certification. Shifting back towards research, she joined the Eng Lo Neuroprotection lab at Massachusetts General Hospital aiding with hypoxia experiments on endothelial cells. Currently she is part of two research labs at the Broad Institute, the Pan group and the Greka Lab, investigating neurological afflictions and kidney disease respectively. In the Pan group her main project centers around the SCN2A ion channel, attempting to understand loss and gain of function mutations through a saturation mutagenesis. In her free time, she is an aspiring musician (alias Estoof), classically trained in piano and guitar with a focus on baroque and folk music.
