Research Associate II
Lakshanyaa Kannan graduated from Northeastern University in 2023 with a major in cell and molecular biology and minors in mathematics and behavioral neuroscience. She worked previously at Harvard Medical School, where she studied the development and regulation of mouse olfactory systems. In the Pan lab, Lakshanyaa uses mouse and cell models to investigate molecular mechanisms underlying genetic risk for schizophrenia. She is also committed to improving access to science education and volunteers with different groups at the Broad to share her love of science with students of all ages.
