Lauren Bellfy Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Associate

Lauren is a postdoctoral associate in the Pan Group at the Stanley Center for
Psychiatric Research. Lauren received her PhD in Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative
Biosciences from the Pennsylvania State University under the mentorship of Dr. Janine
Kwapis. During her graduate training, Lauren studied the relationship between the
circadian rhythm and memory across the lifespan using mouse behavior, local
manipulation of gene expression, and molecular techniques. Her current research
focuses on how Ca v 3.3 within the thalamic reticular nucleus and cortex contributes to
the social and cognitive deficits observed in schizophrenia.
